On Wednesday, the Worldwide Council (ICC) launched the official anthem of World Cup 2023 which begins in India on October 5. Known as ‘Dil Jashn Bole,’ the anthem options Bollywood star Ranveer Singh. Profitable Bollywood composer Pritam composed the music, whereas Dhanashree Verma, choreographer and spouse to India leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, featured within the anthem.

The reception of the anthem on social media, nonetheless, was lower than enthusiastic.
In distinction to the 2011 and 2015 editions’ anthems, the ICC obtained an intensive critique, accused of failing to resonate with cricket followers’ enthusiasm.
Disheartened followers criticized it, lamenting that it did not seize the essence and adrenaline of the game, not like the anthems of earlier editions.
One such memorable anthem was the 2011 World Cup’s “De Ghumake,” composed by the illustrious Shankar Mahadevan.

India’s cricket journey within the ODI World Cup has witnessed two historic moments. Kapil Dev led India to their inaugural ODI World Cup triumph in 1983, adopted by a long-awaited victory below the management of MS Dhoni in 2011. In between, India clinched one other World Cup in 2007, although within the T20 format.
