After 146 days of picketing, the Writers Guild of America, which represents greater than 11,500 Hollywood writers, stated it has reached a tentative settlement for a brand new contract with the studios on Sunday, successfully ending the almost five-month walkout of Hollywood writers in all places.
“We are able to say, with nice delight, that this deal is outstanding—with significant positive factors and protections for writers in each sector of the membership,” the WGA negotiating committee wrote in an electronic mail to its members.
