Celebrated filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, whose filmography boasts of such notable titles as Mr India (1987), Bandit Queen (1994), and Elizabeth (1998), will subsequent helm a sequel to his much-loved Bollywood movie Masoom (1983).
The most recent replace on the much-talked-about sequel, titled Masoom: The Subsequent Technology, means that the filmmaker has commenced work on its music.
Kapur, who was lately honoured with the Lifetime Contribution to UK-India Relations award on the IGF’s UK-India Awards, has reportedly joined forces with a profitable music producer from England.
A supply within the know informs, “He has been collaborating with a famend music producer from England, on the music for the film. The director can even be working with some of the sought-after music composers in India for one more soundtrack for Masoom: The Subsequent Technology. He’s additionally scouting areas whereas he’s in London to finalise the setting for the film.”
The unique movie Masoom was primarily based on the favored 1980 novel Man, Girl and Youngster by Erich Sega. It starred Naseeruddin Shah, Shabana Azmi, Tanuja, Supriya Pathak, and Saeed Jaffrey with Jugal Hansraj, Aradhana, and Urmila Matondkar showing as baby actors.
The screenplay, dialogues, and lyrics have been by Gulzar with music by R.D. Burman. Masoom was a box-office success and went on to realize cult standing in years to come back.
